Admission for year 2014 is now over. Please check back after some time for 2015 admissions.

IIIT-Delhi is inviting B.Tech. admissions for the year 2014. Students will apply online, starting 6th July 2014 or declaration of complete result of JEE (Main) 2014, whichever is later. Admission is based on (i) total marks obtained in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2014 and normalized score in Class 12th as provided by JEE (60% & 40% weightage respectively). (ii) bonus marks which are given for achievements in various areas like Olympiads, programming contest, national talent search, sports, culture, chess, etc. Details about the criteria and reservations are given in the brochure and links below. Visiting hours for prospective students & their parents

Prospective students and their parents, who wish to visit the IIIT-D campus, are welcome to do so from 30th June, 2014 to 11th July 2014 (excluding Sundays) between 9 AM and 11 AM. IIIT-D staff and volunteers will be available to assist them during their campus tour.

Interaction Session @IIIT-Delhi

IIIT-Delhi welcomes all the B.Tech. aspirants and their parents for a two hours introductory session at IIIT-Delhi on July 11, 2014(Friday) from 9.00 am to 11.00 am, this includes one hour session by Prof Pankaj Jalote, Director, IIIT-Delhi.

Admissions will be through joint counselling with Delhi Technological University and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women. The portal for joint counselling (jacdelhi.nic.in) will be activated around mid-June.

Scholarship and Fee Waiver

IIIT-D has an income-linked partial scholarship scheme given to students to ensure that education in the Institute is not denied to any student who gains admission.

About the Institute

IIIT Delhi was created by an Act of Delhi Government in 2008. At the undergraduate level, IIIT-Delhi currently has two programs – in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE). After Admission

Induction Program

Incoming students will be invited to an 8-day induction program starting from July 25 to help them transition from school to college. There will be fun activities to help the students bond with their seniors, and programming familiarization sessions to gear them up for some coding.

Expectation from Students

IIIT Delhi takes academics very seriously and expects all its students to do so. Each semester a student normally does about 5 courses, and each course has a workload of about 10 hrs/week. Hence a student should be ready to work hard – that indeed is the only way to learn.
